Nurse : Hi my name is OET Answers. I am one of the registered nurses in this facility. How are you doing Beverley?

Patient : I am all right nurse, by the way you seem really anxious Beverley.

Nurse : May I know what is bothering you?

Patient : Oh nothing much nurse. Well, it is important to discuss the feelings with friends and family which will be a great relief for you, and if it is related to your health, you can share with the medical team as well..

Patient : Okay..

Nurse : You share your anxiety or concerns with a medical professional. We can have a discussion, which will provide solutions thus leading to a worried free time. All right, Beverley if you don't mind can you please share your feelings with me so that I may help you appropriately..

Patient : It's nothing else but the condition I am suffering from makes me anxious..

Nurse : The anxiety that you are going through right now is quite natural; however, for my better clarification, Could you please vent your exact feeling?

Patient : Nurse, you know still I have fatigue physical inabilities and memory related problems, and I know that I do not have a full recovery, and also another hemorrhage is inevitable…

Nurse : Yes Beverley, your concerns are quite reasonable but I can assure you that your symptoms will subside on the go when your brain heals completely..

Patient : Nurse I know it is rare to happen and chances are very less. It is too early to come to a conclusion like that is it?

Nurse : Yes, there are many similar cases we have dealt with so don't be nervous. Many among them are even able to do their activities independently and go to work on their own..

Patient : All right, perhaps I wonder, how can I be able to do activities independently and go to work on my own?

Nurse : I am really glad to explain it to you. Firstly, let me discuss about mobility..

Nurse : Sure go ahead..

Patient : There are many assistive devices available in the market for the easy movement of people with compromised walking ability such as a walker or cane, and also you can make some necessary home modifications with the help of an occupational therapist..

Patient : May I know what kind of modifications you are suggesting?

Nurse : Yes that is something like rails or grab bars in your room as well as in the bathroom in order to avoid the necessary fall injuries. Are you following me?

Patient : Oh yes..

Nurse : Now for your memory, you can use some post-it notes to memorize pictures of places and people to recall them alarms or reminders to alert you for medications or any other activities.

Patient : All right. Now I have got some insights on how to handle my situation but nurse, how will I remember all these ideas you shared and put them into practice?

Nurse : I can understand that it might be hard for you initially but once you make it into practice definitely it's going to be a routine for you. At the same time I can provide you with a checklist that could make everything much easier. How does that sound?

Patient : That sounds great nurse. Thank you..

Nurse : All right and the next thing I would like to remind you is regarding the frequent monitoring of your blood pressure and strict medication compliance. These things can prevent you from further occurrence of these unpleasant events and lengthy hospitals stay. Is it clear for you?

Patient : Oh yes I understand your words but reminding myself about taking the medication is the hardest task..

Nurse : I truly realize you're a situation but nothing to worry about I have a perfect solution for you..
