I am writing to refer Ms Vladimir Putin who has been diagnosed with colon cancer and has been scheduled for colostomy on 13 March 2022. She requires pre-procedure assessment and management.


Ms Putin initially presented to the hospital on 28/01/2022 with a history of rectal bleeding. On assessment, a palpable mass has been noticed. Subsequently, 08 Centimeter mass in the left lateral wall of the rectum was noticed. An MRI and CT scan were performed which confirmed the diagnosis. Her next CT confirmed that there was no metastasis, and colostomy has been recommended. Today, dehydration has been identified, as well as she is being tensed about the future social life. All preoperative assistance were provided for her.


In view of the above, kindly take over Ms Putin and provide further assistance for the surgery. Daily rectal wash before bedtime has been recommended. She has been stressed to take fluid diet only including the soup, and ice cream from 10/03/2022. She needs to be on nil per oral from 13/03/2022 at 00:00 hours. Kindly provide her with emotional support with the help of her family members. Please note, she is overweight for her age.
