Re : Ms Margret Martin

I am writing to refer Ms Margret Martin who is a postnatal mother. She requires emergency short term admission for accommodation and other support services following her discharge today. 


Ms Margret Martin was admitted to hospital on 23 December 2021 for delivery. She delivered a female healthy baby without any complications. Her postnatal progress was excellent with minimal blood loss. She preferred the baby to bottle feed rather than breastfeeding. Baby’s feeding is noted to be good and normal. 


Ms Martin is single and used to live with her boyfriend but currently refuses to reside with him, as he is verbally abusive and even not the father of the child. Presently, she is unemployed and can not stay with her family, as her only sister stays overseas and parents died a couple of years ago in an accident. 


It would be beneficial if you could provide accommodation and other required services for Ms Martin until she get further support  for her living. Please note, She was referred to a psychologist for emotional support and counseling. She was suggested to apply for single mother benefits, and ongoing postnatal monitoring has been arranged from a local mental health service.
