Re : Beverley Williams

Age : 16 years


I am writing to update the current health status of Beverley Williams who has pulmonary tuberculosis. He requires care and management for his examination and is being discharged today.


Williams was admitted to hospital on 02 December 2021 with the complaints of persistent cough, fever and weight loss. During hospitalisation, his blood test result was unremarkable. He underwent chest X-ray which revealed TB cavity in the upper part of the right lung. Subsequently, he has been commenced on anti-tuberculosis and anti-pyretic medications and high protein diet. On subsequent days, he has been tested positive for AFB test.


Williams is very anxious about his tomorrow’s exam. Therefore, one day leave from hospital has been granted for him with complete standard precautions to be followed at school.


It would be appreciated if you could arrange a separate classroom for Williams with necessary precautionary measures needs to be taken during examination. Kindly help him to reduce his anxiety and administer Isoniazid at 11 am. Please note, transportation has been arranged back to the hospital for him.
