I am writing to refer Mr William Thompson is recovering from craniotomy. He requires assessment and further management at your facility.


Mr Thompson was admitted to our facility on 26/10/2021 with the complaints of headache and vomiting for three months. He had four episodes of convulsion, and his wife reported about his memory and behavioral changes. On assessment, his intracranial pressure had elevated as evidenced by frontal lobe dysfunction. His MRI indicated glioblastoma, and he was diagnosed with Oligodendroglioma, for which he underwent craniotomy. Post-operatively, he has impaired speech ; therefore, speech therapy has been initiated. He was commenced on antibiotics and painkillers and was assisted with activities of daily living. His recovery has been promising so far.


On 03/11/2021, Mr Thompson started to mobilise without assistance, and his speech had improved. O4 days later, His histopathology report showed grade 03 anapaestic oligodendroglioma.


Based on the above information, Mr Thompson needs radiation therapy and adjuvant temozolamide chemotherapy. It would be greatly beneficial, if provide further treatment and management to overcome his present difficulties.
